One of the newer members of the Chatfield OzCool team, this month we introduce you to our qualified Refrigeration Mechanic, Matthew.
Starting with Chatfield OzCool in October 2024, Matthew was already a qualified Refrigeration Mechanic and brings with him experience and learnings from a previous role with a commercial refrigeration company in Melbourne.
When asked the type of projects Matthew enjoys most, he stated that he enjoyed ‘the variety of work Chatfield OzCool do, from the domestic air conditioning work to process cooling.’
The variety of work that Chatfield OzCool perform, has been stated in the past when speaking to other technicians about what drew them to the company. It’s due to the range, size and type of customers Chatfield OzCool support, that allows technicians to gain a breadth of on-the-job experience.
When no-two-days are the same, it’s imperative that the technicians at Chatfield OzCool are able to jump from one location to the next, with versatile skills and experience.
Matthew noted that when working on jobs with Chatfield OzCool, he particularly enjoys the challenge of problem solving and working with a team to handle complex installations and repairs.
With technicians offering different trade qualifications and experience, it is this combined knowledge and skill that allows Chatfield OzCool to take on varied and complex projects.
When Matthew isn’t working, he can be found spending time with family and playing field hockey. Like a lot of the Chatfield OzCool team, Matthew also enjoys 4×4 driving and ‘exploring this great country’.
