If you love cheese and live in Victoria, then you will know the name That’s Amore! Cheese is synonymous with quality and excellence. Started in 2008, a humble one-man cheese maker grew to become a business that is an industry leader in quality artisan and authentic cheese manufacturing.
Who is That’s Amore! Cheese?
Founder Giorgio Linguanti migrated from Sicily to Melbourne in 2004. Upon settling in Melbourne with a background in Advertising, Giorgio didn’t speak a word of English. Deciding to try something new, Giorgio undertook the challenge of working in a cheese factory, which ignited his passion for the process. After gaining experience in two different cheese factories, Giorgio was ready to start a cheese factory of his own, and the rest, as they say, is history!

Chatfield OzCool works with That’s Amore! Cheese.
Chatfield OzCool first became associated with That’s Amore! Cheese when an electrician working at their premises reached out seeking some expert advice regarding their complex refrigeration and cooling systems.
The Cheesery based in Thomastown had an extensive network of HVAC equipment and needed a local Melbourne metro-based company who could be relied on to ensure their equipment is well maintained and working at optimal output. Chatfield OzCool could also offer responsive turnaround to service requests, thanks to their ever-expanding team of highly qualified technicians.
What HVAC work is completed at That’s Amore! Cheesery?
Chatfield OzCool recently worked on a milk vat at the premises in Thomastown. The milk vat that was supplied by the company has coils fitted into the vat. Chatfield OzCool were engaged to connect up the chilled water from the existing chiller so that it could flow to both tanks via control valves. Control valves are used to monitor and maintain vat temperatures.
These milk vats are essential to the cheese making process, and exacting temperature control on this equipment is vital as different cheeses need milk stored at different temperatures.

The heart of the That’s Amore! Cheese plant equipment is the DDC (Direct Digital Controller). This controller allows remote access; meaning plant managers and technicians can log into the system remotely and at any time, see the temperatures of the equipment in real time.
One of the features of this equipment is that this system logs any anomalies in the temperature, so if there is ever an event where the desired temperature is lost, the operations manager can be alerted, and remedial action can be undertaken as soon as possible.
In a commercial manufacturing environment, this sort of proactive monitoring can help maintain essential hygiene standards and avoid costly faults or product spoilage.
If you would like to experience the fabulous produce from That’s Amore! Cheese, they have a dine-in Cheesery located at their manufacturing site in Thomastown. Pop in, to sample some of their amazing products for yourselves.
