Located in bustling Carlton North, the Head Office of NECA Victoria, is a hive of activity. As a Group Training Organisation, as well as a Registered Training Organisation, it has one of the highest success rates in Australia, so business interruption is simply not an option.
Chatfield OzCool have maintained the air conditioning unit at this Carlton North location for many years, but after 25 years of continual use, three of the main office air conditioning units had well and truly reached their natural end, and it was time for a replacement.
Chatfield OzCool were tasked with recommending a replacement unit and it was decided that a new inverter style air conditioner would be a good solution, so the replacement unit would be an ECO Temperzone Split Ducted unit.

There were multiple complexities of this job that needed to be taken into account. To start with, the old unit on the roof needed to be removed, so a crane was brought in to also carefully lift the new units into place.
New duct-work need to be manufactured and installed between the existing ductwork, connecting it to the new units. There also needed to be new refrigeration pipework between the indoor and outdoor units.
Lastly and most importantly, the works needed to be completed during the Christmas holidays, when staff were on leave, to mitigate any potential business interruption.
A cinch for the team at Chatfield OzCool.
As you can see from the office layout, no two workplaces are the same, so it is vital to factor in the size and use of the space, to ensure the units are best suited to achieve an optimum output.
The New unit suggested by Chatfield OzCool would incorporate digital controls with Wi-Fi access for maintenance. Meaning technicians can monitor the performance remotely, and even lock-off controller access and reprogram the unit remotely.
In other words, no more battling the thermostat within the workplace.
Handy Tip!
Wi-Fi remote monitoring is a useful feature in streamlining maintenance across a number of sites. For example, if you have to manage a number of properties, allowing your air-conditioning technician to log in remotely and check the performance could save both downtown in waiting for a technician to arrive on site, and also costs, by reducing unnecessary call out fees.
